Reminiscent of "Stone Brewery" in San Diego California this restaurant is a great place to get craft beers and decent food. Service is hit or miss depending on how busy they are although the bar staff themselves are fantastic. I have eaten here a fair amount and have been both pleasantly surprised as well as let down. Some standard good eats are their soups (especially french onion), appetizers, burgers, pastas, and salads. Hit and miss on steaks and poultry as I have gotten overcooked or dry on a few occasions. Beer itself is why I keep returning to this restaurant as it is always wonderful, with a wide variety of their brews to choose from.

It was alright. But that did not come to the table hot. Went to a friends house

My boyfriend and I visited Granite City fir the first time. We'd been hearing great things about the restaurant and well.....they we're absolutely right! There was a bit of a wait, an hour to be exact, but it was well worth the wait. Great food and great staff with personality. Reception into the restaurant was excellent as well. Please try the Sunday Brunch. Exquisite!

My party of 3 waited 35 minutes for a table on a Thursday night at 6pm. We were told a table would be 20 minutes and after waiting for so long we finally just walked out after informing the manager. The dining room was not that busy, the host seemed clueless and the manager was not very accommodating. I don't suspect this place will stay in business for very long. It is either poorly staffed and or managed.

Reservation made on open table but when we arrived we were told it would be a 25 minute wait because we recently made the reservation... The place is virtually empty and they are not even using their outdoor dinning area.

They need to learn to make restrictions on Open Table if they are not able to honor the reservation. Especially when half the restaurants tables are empty. We have made a lot of last minute reservations in Chicago and surrounding suburbs without issue (recent relocate to Ohio). Obviously poor management or employees in the host area called off work.

Who rates these places!? I'm surprised this place is still in business!

My wife had the barbecued chicken flat bread. It came cold. I had the meatloaf.

and told him about it. He said they went and won't be back either. Too bad. That place has got great potential. Brewery type bar food is all the same. They need some imagination in that kitchen!
